Schedule of Events

May 6, 2017 Free festival will be held at Earl G. Williamson Park in Oil City, La.

Gusher Days Festival is celebrating north Caddo Parish’s primary industry – oil, May 6 at Earl G. Williamson Park in Oil City. The event’s theme is “Where Oil and Water Mix.” The discovery and production of oil was the catalyst for forming this city, and it was the first site of offshore oil wells in the United States. Considered the largest natural lake of fresh water in the South covering 26,800 acres, Caddo Lake is shared by Texas and Louisiana.

The festival features all day entertainment, crafts, games, children's play area, food booths and a parade. See the list of scheduled events below.

Missy and Miss Gusher will be named April (date to be announced) at the Oil City Pageant and will make their first appearances at the May 6 festival.
